Megan Kampstra, LPCC
Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor specializing in working with children, adults, and families: she works with ages 6 and up. Megan uses various theoretical approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), family therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, and play therapy. Megan applies current neurological research to treat a variety of disorders and problems including anxiety, depression, ADHD, attachment and bonding, relationship challenges, parenting issues, stress, self-esteem, personality disorders, and trauma.
For clients who desire a faith-based approach, Megan also offers Christian counseling, integrating biblical principles with clinical expertise to support spiritual and emotional growth.

Jamie Rodriguez, LGSW
Licensed Graduate Social Worker, Jamie specializes in working with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, domestic violence, relationship challenges and adult attachment, parenting, issues faced by People of Color (BIPOC) and members of the LGBTQ+ community. Jamie utilizes various evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems, solution focused therapy, motivational interviewing, play therapy, and narrative therapy in her practice to support clients in meeting their therapeutic goals. Tanya Sundberg, PhD, LP
Tanya is a Licensed Psychologist with over 18 years of experience working with adults across a wide range of clinical concerns. She specializes in depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma, including PTSD and the ongoing impact of past events on mood, relationships, self-esteem, and daily functioning.
Tanya is trained in EMDR, an evidence-based therapy shown to be effective for trauma and PTSD, which she integrates when clinically appropriate. She also draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based approaches to help clients better understand patterns, manage symptoms related to depression and anxiety, and build practical coping skills.

Bobbi Jo Hamilton, LGSW
Bobbi Jo offers somatic, body-centered therapy for women navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodivergence, and chronic stress or illness. She also works with teens in need of mental health support. Her approach blends mindfulness, parts work, inner-child healing, and nervous system regulation. Currently completing her yoga teacher training, Bobbi Jo integrates gentle movement and breath-work into sessions when supportive.
Bobbi Jo is passionate about creating a space where clients feel safe, heard, and supported. She draws from both professional training and lived experience, and believes that healing is always possible. Outside of her work, she enjoys being outdoors, spending time with her kids and grandkids, and finding quiet moments in nature with her partner. She offers in-person sessions in New York Mills and telehealth across Minnesota.

Leah Sjolie, MS, LPC, LADC
Leah works with children, adolescents and adults ages 6 and up, as well as couples and families, providing compassionate mental health therapy. She offers evening and weekend appointments and is available for telehealth sessions to make therapy more accessible.
As a dedicated therapist, Leah believes in the power of a supportive and non-judgmental space to encourage healing and growth. She partners with clients in a collaborative way, helping them explore challenges, build resilience, and discover their inner strengths. Her clinical focus includes anxiety, depression, and substance use issues. Leah draws on evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to meet her clients’ unique needs.
Her goal is to empower individuals and families to live more fulfilling, authentic lives. Outside of her practice, Leah enjoys spending time with her family, camping, hiking, and reading.

Amanda Madison, Clinical Intern
Amanda is a Master of Social Work graduate student at Minnesota State University Moorhead and earned her Bachelors of Social Work degree in 2019. Born and raised in Fergus Falls, she is deeply committed to giving back to her home community through compassionate and accessible mental health care.
Amanda provides therapy for adolescents and adults ages 12 and up, believing that every individual deserves quality mental health support across the lifespan. She embraces a strengths-based and trauma-informed perspective, honoring each client’s unique story and resilience.
Following graduation, Amanda plans to pursue a career in outpatient individual therapy, supporting clients of all ages in reaching their goals and improving overall well-being. She chose River Walk Counseling for her practicum because of its strong reputation for serving the Fergus Falls community. This experience provides her with diverse training opportunities that will prepare her for clinical practice and equip her to meet the needs of clients with care and professionalism.
